Write an Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) (Have a current one. You need a new one for every licensure cycle.) |

Obtain the LPDC's approval of the IPDP |

Complete the planned learning activities. Ohio requires 6 semester hours of college credit or 18 CEU's (continuing education units) as defined by the LPDC between the date the educator's license was issued and the date of expiry. The educator is responsible for making sure that the learning activities match the approved IPDP. |

Cpmplete the professional development. Ohio requires 6 semester hours, 18 CEUs or 180 clock hours (or a combination of the 3) as defined by the LPDC between the effective date of the educators's IPDP and expiration date of the license. The educator is responsible for making sure that the learning activites mate the approved IPDP. Professional development will only count when an approved IPDP is in place. |
